College of New Caledonia Students’ Union showcased achievements at the Annual General Meeting. The CNCSU recently held its Annual General Meeting, highlighting the accomplishments and ongoing initiatives of its representatives. The event provided a platform for student leaders to present their work and future goals, showing the union's commitment to enhance students’ support on campus.

The meeting's agenda was focused mainly around two things: the financial report of CNCSU, and yearly log presentations of students' representatives.

There is a diverse Executive Committee, representing a wide range of academic disciplines and student groups. From University Studies to Women's Representation, from Trades to Pride Students, leadership reflects the richness of the student body.

This inclusivity ensures that every voice has the opportunity to be heard and represented.

After that, each representative went through with an explanation of their own accord, however, the main focus was on student advocacy, women’s safety, open education resources and community building.

In terms of work being done by representatives, Holden shared his extensive involvement in campus activities and events such as orientation day, karaoke nights, and holiday celebrations. He has been very active

in promoting student services, supporting the U-Pass system, and moderating the CNCSU Discord server. He also does monthly trade’s coffee days to foster connections among trade students.

Geetanjali, the Women Students' Representative, presented her efforts in community building and ensuring safety for women on campus. She organizes monthly Women-to-Women group events, providing a safe space for female students to share experiences and support one another. Geetanjali is an active member of the hiking club and promotes outdoor activities and social connections.

Furthermore, all representatives elaborated on the initiatives and activities they had undertaken throughout the year. Varun talked about “Power and Empower - A Shakti Campaign” and how he is actively working with  Power Circle students to promote the campaign. Holiness Ozumba is a Federal representative on BCFS and she also represents the student body on the college board of Directors. She worked hard towards changing policies for the availability of seats for International students in programs like Social Work.

Gurtej Singh-University Studies Representative, Merrill Ringwood- Quesnel Campus Representative, Daniel Voo-Access and Continuing Education Representative and Michael Morgan-Upgrading and Access Representative also showcased their work and achievements.
