CNCSU CLUBS PORTAL
A club is a group of students who have come together over a shared interest. This interest could be your shared love of volleyball, or maybe you are table-top gamers? Students in the same program, such as Web and Graphic Design or PDHR, also form clubs as well through us. The College of New Caledonia Students' Union (CNCSU) is responsible for overseeing the clubs systems at the college and getting you started!
We are currently looking for club executive! If you are interested in starting or continuing a club, stop by our office!

Recreational Clubs

Recreational clubs are clubs that revolve around activities that bring students together to destress. These are the proto-typical clubs that you see in those college movies you've watched when you were younger.
We are always in need of more recreational clubs! Please let us know if you want to start one!
Dungeons and Dragons Club
STATUS: Active
Activity: Plays multiple times a week at the college in different groups. Students looking to participate can create their own groups to play at the college!

Activist Clubs

Activist clubs are clubs that centre around fighting for political and social change. These clubs are ones that are offering spaces for those who are looking for representation or just a chill place to hang out. If you are a person looking to help make the world a safer space - perhaps these are the clubs for you!
CNC Pride
STATUS: Active
The Pride Club is a prospective club under the CNCSU that is looking for students who identify as a person in the LGBTQIA+ community. This club is meant to create a community on campus for students who want to show their pride and support one another!

Accessibility Club

The main goal of the Accessibility Club is to advocate for students at CNC who have disabilities and chronic illnesses, on top of advocacy also educating our community on the issues we face. We also plan to create a safe space for students to come and express their issues and support one and other.

Indigenous Collective
STATUS: Active
The Indigenous Collective is a club that is being built to empower Indigenous Students on campus. Joining this club will keep you in the loop for indigenous events, opportunities and more.

STATUS: Active

Sports Clubs

Sports clubs are currently operating in collaboration with CNC Recreation Services. Students that sign up for these clubs will periodically get invitations to tournaments from CNC. Students can choose to make these into official clubs should students want to host their own tournaments.

The Basketball club currently operates through CNC Recreation services. If you sign up, you will periodically get invitations from CNC for events.
Badminton

The Badminton club currently operates through CNC Recreation services. If you sign up, you will periodically get invitations from CNC for events.

The Cricket club currently operates through CNC Recreation services. If you sign up, you will periodically get invitations from CNC for events.

Academic Clubs

Academic Clubs are clubs attached to programs. Typically, students who want to fundraise for class projects/events go through the CNCSU club program. These clubs are the only ones that are exclusive to just students in the relevant program.
Human Resources Club

The HR Club is a club attached to the Post-Diploma Human Resources program. Students who wish to connect to others in HR.
Applied Business Tech (ABT) Club
STATUS: Active
The ABT club is attached to the Applied Business Technology program.
Club Cullinaire
Club Cullinaire is attached to the Pro Cook program.
Web and Graphic Design Club
STATUS: Active
The Web and Graphic Design club is attached to the Web and Graphic Design Program. This club has annual showcases which show off student projects.
Social Work Club
STATUS: Active
The Social Work Club is a club attached to the Social Service Worker program. Students who wish to connect to others studying in the same classes

These are clubs that are looking for members and are key targets that the CNCSU wants to support. If you are interested in joining - please show us by signing up! Also, we are looking for executives for these clubs. Being an executive is not scary, and the CNCSU will support you in the creation of the club. The Debate Club is a prospective club looking for members and executives. The Debate club is a classic staple of the College experience, meant to help students develop their public speaking and leadership skills. Recommended for students in business or post-diploma programs.
