Becoming a Student Leader

College is known for it's campus life, the opportunity to explore new things, and meet new people. At CNC, we are proud to say that creating a positive student experience is one of our goals. This would not be possible without members like you who are interested in putting in the work to make attending CNC a better experience for everyone.

Types of Volunteering

Student Volunteers are a crucial part of our plans going into events and campaigns throughout the year. Becoming a student volunteer means that you want to help improve the college and create an atmosphere that people will remember after they are done.

Whether it's being a food server at events, or tabling for one of out important campaigns, you are sure to be active in the student community.

Depending on the amount of hours put into volunteering with us, you may be eligible for swag, letters of reference and more rewards for using your time to help students' at CNC.

Events

We are always looking for extra hands when we do our events. Events like movie nights, pizza days, CNCSU Day and more are not possible without students putting in the work.

Activity Leader

We are looking for students who are willing to commit to being activity leaders for movie nights, board game nights and more! Campus life is crucial, and it starts with you!

Students who want to do this work can be put in charge of a club as an executive.

Confluence

The Confluence is run by a small team, and is dependent on student submissions, event photography and promotion. If you are interested in this type of work - contact editor@cncsu.ca

Committees

There are very important committees at CNC that are looking for responsible students who can speak on behalf of our membership. We reserve these opportunities for those who show their commitment to the union, so you will likely get invited for these opportunities!

Power Circle

The Power Circle is a student-led committee within the Power and Empower Campaign, dedicated to advocating for equity and enhancing the post-secondary education experience for all.

Organized by Varun Kumar, these students are here to empower students on campus and tackle social and societal issues that can be found on campus.

This team is made up of 5 student volunteers, and 3 members of the CNCSU Executives.
