During Pride Month, our Women-to-Women group get together for a meaningful celebration with the theme “Women in Pride. The idea behind it was to celebrate and support women who are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community — a group that’s often overlooked or misunderstood .
There’s a common misconception that women are not part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and we wanted to push back against that by having honest conversations and sharing real experiences. It was important for us to create a space where everyone felt welcome, safe, and truly included.Â

We talked about some of the challenges women face in the community, like feeling invisible, dealing with stereotypes, and the need for better representation in both social and support spaces. To add some fun to the day, we had colourful hair extensions and a photo booth, which gave everyone a chance to take pictures and just enjoy the moment together in their own way.Â
It was a meaningful day for all of us. It reminded us how important it is to recognize and celebrate women in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community — not just during Pride, but all year round.
